Credit Team Leader - WA Region
We are currently seeking an experienced Team Leader – Credit Management. This role will lead the Credit Team of 3 to ensure that credit, accounts receivables, collections, and associated activities are carried out in an efficient, prompt and professional manner; monitor customers’ activities to ensure they act within their terms of trade. This is a small and close-knit team, the position is expected to be hands-on reporting to the Regional Credit Manager.
Responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
Provide general supervision of staff within the Regional Credit Team, (2-3 persons).
Manage customer master file and supporting documentation (applications, guarantees)
to ensure data integrity.
Ensure that customer trading entity changes are identified, recorded and actioned.
Ensure that all trading accounts, cash sale, staff and sundry accounts are being maintained
Manage the legal account, including instruction to debt collectors and external solicitors.
Manage an assigned ledger that would include both major and strategic customers.
New account applications are processed and approval of those applications within set authority levels.
Review customer credit limits on both a required and a regular basis.
Monthly reporting on the Debtors Ledgers activity.
Review and action various reports on a daily and weekly basis.
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Process customer refunds including cheque, EFT & Credit card.
All contra journals between debtors and creditors ledger as required.
Follow all company policy and procedures.
Provide assistance to the Regional Credit Manager and Credit Team.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record of Leadership skills within the Credit Management environment; the successful candidate will have skills in the following areas:
· Minimum of 5+ years’ credit control and AR experience
· Exp in managing a sizeable debtors ledger with a turnover of $TBA
· Strong People management skills and ability to train and mentor staff
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to support sales while maintaining good risk management
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
· Good working knowledge of SAP or similar
· Access to AICM membership valued
Possess the ability to make decisions, solve problems, establish work priorities and administer projects within set time frames as and when needed.
